Short-run Production Building in Emeryville, CA
Project requirements included the design of a manufacturing facility and offices for a biotech company. Included in the design was a steel-framed, accessible loft space which allows the reconfiguration of mechanical services to spaces below the loft, without the need to disturb processes in adjoining production spaces. The project is located in a gritty, urban setting, the design of the exterior responding accordingly.
