Plaza in
New York City
The first phase of work required the removal and reconstruction of the Canadian Black Granite planters, plaza pavers, steps, and risers. A new structure of steel beams, steel deck, and concrete has been erected and poured. The second phase provides replacement of a major portion of the 53rd Street plaza and its steps with a wide ramp, to be used by the general public. The intent has been to make the reconstructed plaza appear seamless with regard to existing construction.
